Pastor's sermon is based on both Acts 1:1-11 and Luke 24:44-53. With his ascension, Jesus departs from one place so he can be Christ in every place. He departs from them in that moment, so he can be Christ for everyone and forever. And with the power Jesus promises them through the Holy Spirit, he doesn’t want his disciples (including us) to just continue to stare off into heaven. He wants us to look for the needs and opportunities to continue the ministry of Jesus Christ. Amen!
